Day 5

Jungle Adventure: Tracking Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your lodge before embarking on an unforgettable adventure. At 6:30 AM, you'll be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. Here, you'll register and be assigned to a specific gorilla group. The park staff will provide you with essential information about the trekking time and conditions based on the gorillas' location. After a brief briefing on trekking procedures and safety guidelines, you'll head up the mountain to the starting point. Consider hiring a porter to carry your backpack, as the trek can be physically demanding. The journey can take anywhere from two to six hours or more, depending on the gorillas' movements. Along the way, your guide will make frequent stops for rest and photography. Once you locate the gorilla family, you'll have the incredible opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Gorilla Trekking Encore and Kigali Farewell
