Day 3

Jungle Adventure: Tracking Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your lodge before embarking on an unforgettable adventure. At 6:30 AM, you'll be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. Here, you'll register and be assigned to a specific gorilla group. The park staff will provide you with essential information about the trekking time and conditions based on the gorillas' location. After a brief briefing on trekking procedures and safety guidelines, you'll head up the mountain to the starting point. Consider hiring a porter to carry your backpack, as the trek can be physically demanding. The journey can take anywhere from two to six hours or more, depending on the gorillas' movements. Along the way, your guide will make frequent stops for rest and photography. Once you locate the gorilla family, you'll have the incredible opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, you'll return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your Lodge, where you'll be treated to a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking Encore and Kigali Farewell

Today, you have the unique opportunity to embark on a second gorilla trekking adventure (Subject to Permit availability), immersing yourself once more in the presence of the majestic Rwandan mountain gorillas. As you trek through the lush rainforest, marvel at the incredible agility and social dynamics of these magnificent creatures. After a fulfilling morning, return to the foothills of the Virunga Volcanoes for a leisurely lunch. As you savor your meal, take a moment to reflect on the unforgettable experiences of your Rwandan safari. Following lunch, depart from the Virunga Volcanoes and embark on a scenic drive back to Kigali City. Witness the picturesque landscapes of Rwanda, passing through vibrant coffee, tea, and banana plantations. Upon arrival in Kigali, you'll be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward departure flight, carrying with you cherished memories of your extraordinary journey.
